Complete Description: Required: Minimum 7 years' experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) v6,V7.x and v8 in a datacenter environment•Required areas of knowledge & experience: o Installation of RHEL7and 8 in a standalone and VMware environment o Stop, Start, restart, enable and disable running of software & system service daemons via systemd system and service manager o Installation, update and inventory of software packages via rpm command o Shell scripting experience, e.g. bash for routine system administration tasks, creating reports o "yum" for patching and package installation from central repository o Cron/crontab for periodic scheduled jobs o Creation & management of filesystems and volumes using LVM, partitioning of disk devices o System performance analysis, system log analysis and system troubleshooting techniques o Logrotate for periodic rotation and compression or purge of older logs o Remediation of common Linux server issues such as filesystem nearly full, user cannot login, etc. o TCP/IP networking: Configuration, troubleshooting, use of tcpdump and Wireshark o Setup/configuration of network interfaces o Setup/configuration of typical networked services such as DNS, NTP, NFS, FTP, SFTP,SSH,Apache HTTPD,CIFS,SMB/Samba,syslog/rsyslog o Security hardening practices, including RHEL7's firewalld o SSH authentication techniques (password, key-based) o Use of sudo, sudoers file, and "sudoers.d" directory o Grub configuration & setup to control Linux boot and system parameters at boot time o Troubleshooting all of the above•Excellent oral and written communication skills•Preparation of documentation for technical staff and management (technical procedures, description and diagramming of operational & network flow, performance reports, etc.)•Create periodic reports to document your job activitiesKnowledge/Experience a desired plus: RHCSA (Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator - RHEL V7.x and/or RHEL V8.x) - Required Minimum 7 years' experience with Red Hat Enterprise v7.x and v8.x - Required Minimum 2 years' working experience in RH version upgrades; specifically RH7 to RH8 - Required Familiarity with system tuning & setup requirements for Oracle RDBMS utilizing ASM disks - Required Knowledge of rsyslog and a web server (apache preferred) - Required Postfix SMTP gateway - Desired Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP (as a "client" of these services, not as an administrator under Windows) - Desired Systems programming language (Python preferred, or Perl) - Desired Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience RHCSA (Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator - RHEL V7.x and/or RHEL V8.x) RequiredExperience with Red Hat Enterprise v7.x and v8.x Required 7 Years Working experience in RH version upgrades; specifically RH7 to RH8 Required 2 YearsFamiliarity with system tuning & setup requirements for Oracle RDBMS utilizing ASM disks RequiredKnowledge of rsyslog and a web server (apache preferred) RequiredPostfix SMTP gateway DesiredMicrosoft Active Directory and LDAP (as a "client" of these services, not as an administrator under Windows) DesiredSystems programming language (Python preferred, or Perl) Desired
