Business Analyst

for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in

Richmond, VA.

*This position is onsite for the first month for training, after the training period this position will be hybrid.

Enterprise-wide business analysis of web applications for the Office of Information Management (OIM) and its customers.Work closely with multiple stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and development teams to document business requirements.Report to the Project Manager to ensure business requirements, enhancements, modifications, and newly identified business initiatives are thoroughly documented for successful implementation of Information Technology solutions.Follow requirement elicitation strategies to gather requirements from business stakeholders for new initiatives and/ or for system enhancements and modificationsDocument current state, future state process, GAP analysis, requirements documentations, user stories with acceptance criteriaRepresent requirements in process flow and other suitable pictorial diagramsEnsure user journey is clearly understood, replicated with newer processes and suggest enhancements when applicablePresent requirements to technical and business teams for discussions, validations, demos and trainings.Working with technical team and vendor to ensure requirements are incorporated into systems design and testingActively participating in functional and systems integration unit testing; creating test plans, scenarios, and testing resultsAssisting customers with user acceptance testingDeveloping and presenting training to customers, documenting user manual when neededProviding implementation and maintenance supportProactively making suggestions for systems and process improvement and performing competitive, problem, and opportunity analysis, emphasizing integration, experimentation, creative brainstorming, early complexity assessment, and capturing results in the form of a business case to propose a new change initiativeKeep Project Manager informed of key issues that may impact project implementationFacilitate project conference calls, status meetings, planning sessions, and provide for meeting notesSupport the Project manager in review of Project initiation steps such as RFPs, SOW, managing Agile tools, working closely with vendor team when applicableUtilizing system-based project management applications, collaboration applications, and MS Office applications; Visio, SharePoint, Teams, etcRequired Skills:
