CHAT Data Science, a branch of CHAT, provides data science support, machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions, and advanced visualizations to cloud engineering and management partners.We are looking for a
Senior Data Engineer
to support our custom data analytics and visualizations platform. This high-impact role focuses on the pillars of data engineering of compliance, data management and transformation as well as modeling, and will have direct contributions to Azure-level projects, including working with highly visible platforms through data-driven approaches. This role closely collaborates with BI and Data Science, Software Engineers, other Data Engineers, Program Managers, and HW Engineering teams.Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ year(s) experience in business analytics, data science, software development, or data engineering workOR equivalent experience.
2+ years experience in data modeling, data engineering4+ years development experience and design skills.Experience with technical deep dives into service design, operating systems, networking and storageOther Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Additional or Preferred QualificationsADO (Azure Dev Ops) management experienceDesired coding languages include SQL, Apache Spark Languages such as Python and C#Firm sense of accountability and ownership for end-to-end project lifecycleKnowledge and working experience in data mining, statistics, mathematics is a plusData Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
