Our team at Momentum Spine and Joint is looking for a full-time bilingual Medical Assistant in North Dallas (75243) to provide direct patient care in the outpatient clinical setting. The Medical Assistant will additionally support a positive patient experience by performing administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician or nurse manager and will assist the physician in scribing patient notes.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Maintains patient charts and ensures completeness and accuracy of patients' forms.Rooms patients consistent with clinic needs while determining and documenting chief complaint and reason for visit, vital signs, medication list, allergies, smoking history and other information as required by clinic.Communicates and documents any status updates and changes regarding patient and treatment plan.Keeps patients informed of delays and progress of clinical appointments.Provides administrative support and performs routine clerical such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing.Ensures exam rooms are prepared and stocked with adequate medical supplies as well as cleaning rooms appropriately between patients.Maintains and responds to e-mails, telephone calls and inquiries.Takes telephone messages and provides feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.Assists team and uses downtime efficiently.Performs other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology•Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories•Knowledge of patient evaluation and triage procedures•Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols•Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow•Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments•Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards•Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities•Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBilingual; fluent in English and SpanishEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or its equivalentMinimum 1-2 years in medical office setting BENEFITS OFFERED:3 Medical Plans 2 Dental Plans1 Vision Plan Employee Assistance ProgramShort and Long-Term Disability Insurance Basic and Voluntary Life with AD&D Plan401(k) with a 2-year vestingPTO + HolidaysPlease visit our website for more information:Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
