Job Title: Systems Support Technician
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Compensation: $27.14 + ($4.22 in Health & Welfare Coverage)
Employment: Full-time

Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance - (above 600 Credit score, no criminal history, no back taxes owed, no outstanding debts)
Responsibilities/Duties - This position provides troubleshooting assistance and problemresolution for computer systems in a variety of environments. Such assistance and resolutionis provided for personal computers, servers and Local Area Networks (LANs).
The specialist provides support to distributed PC/networking environment including installation, testing,repair, and troubleshooting for stand-alone PCs, PCs linked to networks, printers and other computer peripherals.Support responsibilities include software installation, and configurations.This specialist performs technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers either by telephone, or on-site for PC desktop hardware and software packages.Job duties require the specialist to install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals, configure operating system, and other application software programs.In this position, the incumbent troubleshoots computer problems, performs hardware and software diagnostics, coordinates needed repairs, resolves computer system problems, including coordination between users and components of a local area network, and participates in the evaluation of system configuration and software.Qualifications
Experience providing direct end-user support for the applications being supported, including both telephone support and on-site assistance to users. Certain applications may require certification by the software provider.Prior teaching/training experience involving computer applications, preferably database, imaging, or other automated litigation support applications strongly preferred. Must have hands-on familiarity with the network, telecommunications, and operating systems environment of the applications being supported.Prior experience in automated litigation support preferred.Experience with DOJ office automation environments extremely helpful; should be an expert user of the Government's word processing, spreadsheet, and email systems.Excellent oral and written communicationsskills required.
Pleasant telephone manner important.Undergraduate degree valued.
