Administers medication and/or treatment when necessary for pupils to attend school and will work with the leadership team and staff to improve the overall quality of care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to a full-time schedule among five campuses serving predominantly high school students and some elementary students (one campus per day)Provide direct nursing services to students according to IEPs and 504 plansCreate goals for IEPsConduct nursing evaluations for students with IEPs/504 plansProvide professional development for staff as needed regarding health topicsSchedule and facilitate CPS hearing and vision screeningsOther relevant duties as assignedThe Qualifications Illinois School Nurse Certification Preferred Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Illinois PreferredOne year of experience in a school or related setting is RequiredExperience with the Chicago Public Schools and their electronic IEP program preferredOne year of experience writing IEP goals, accommodations, asthma action plans, and other health plans for students and providing direct services to students with disabilities preferredSpecialized Education Services, Inc.
