We are currently hiring Welder/Fabricators for both 1st and 3rd shift. We prefer candidates with MIG Welding and fabrication experience, however, if you do not have welding experience, but would like to learn and make a career out of Welding/Fabricating, we will consider you for our training program. You need to be a local candidate with favorable work history to be considered for training.

We pay Double Time after 45 hours worked per week!!!
Bonus of $1,000 after 90 days employment if you have no absences or tardies!!!
We have 1st shift openings with the hours of 6am - 4:30pm Monday through Thursday with overtime on Fridays when needed. 3rd shift hours are 8pm - 6am Sunday night through Thursday morning. Overtime on Thursday night when needed.
3rd shift employees enjoy a 30 minute paid lunch.
Starting pay is based on skills and experience, but no less than $20/hr. There is no cap to our hourly wage. You are paid for your knowledge, skills, and abilities. Performance and pay review after 90 days of hire.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Build Barges and barge accessories per blueprint specifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Layout, position, align and fit together fabricated parts of structural metal products in shop according to blueprint and layout specifications, in preparation for welding.Setup and adjust welding machines in order to weld components and assemblies using GMAW, FCAW, and MCAW.Plan sequence of operation, applying knowledge of geometry, effects of heat, and allowance for weld shrinkage, machining, and thickness of metal.Move parts into position manually or utilizing overhead cranes and forklifts.Remove high spots, slag and cuts bevels, using hand files, portable grinders, chipping hammers and cutting & plasma torch.Inspect materials, components, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.Work effectively and efficiently in both team-based and independent working environments.Responsible for observing and complying with all safety rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
3 years of production welding and fitting experience preferredHigher vocational training preferredAbility to read and interpret fabrication drawings and AWS standard welding symbolsPrevious experience training others is preferred.Experienced in GMAW, FCAW, and MCAW. Knowledge of GTAW is preferred.PHYSICAL FACTORS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basisMust be able to stand, reach, walk and bend on a continual basis.Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment (cold in winter- hot in summer), including work outside all year in all weather conditions.
