Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; must screen if first-time traveler License: Must have appropriate state licensure in hand; for certain units in specific locations, pending licensure may be accepted Certifications: Required - BLS, CRT or RRT; Preferred - ACLS, RRT Must-Have: - Experience with systems such as Purtian Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, Evita XL, and Viasys- Proficiency in using the Cerner Chart System- Working experience in Trauma, ER, and Adult ICU environments- Ability to float between floors with varying acuities- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations every third weekend and work during holidays as needed- Compliance with facility flu vaccine requirements Job Description: - Perform respiratory therapy duties in a night shift role with the possibility of a 36 or 48-hour week- Engage in patient care within a teaching hospital recognized as a top heart and vascular center- Provide high-quality care to adult ICU patients, including those potentially with COVID-19- Maintain flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity- Attend orientation for a total of 28 hours- Complete required modules, with an average total of 12 hours pre-start, recorded via transcripts- Wear olive green scrubs per facility requirements- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a short-term acute care environment
