Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days; 5x8hrs or 4x10hrs, Monday - Friday Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Michigan State License Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Travel experience- Open heart surgery experience Job Description: - Assess the needs of each patient before and during surgical procedures and maintain patient safety.- Outline individual care plans, implement and evaluate care, and document patient progress during surgical procedures.- Provide leadership to the OR team.- Communicate effectively with patients, families, OR team members, supervisors, managers, and ancillary departments.- Participate in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education.- On-call hours are from 1630-0700, for 14.5 hours over 10 days in a 4-week period.- Required to work every 3rd weekend on-call.- Facilities are closed for surgery on Saturdays and Sundays unless an inpatient requires surgery.- A 50-mile radius restriction applies to candidates' permanent addresses; local candidates will not be considered.
