Join us in shaping the future; one meticulously crafted component at a time!ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and program multi-axis CNC mills and lathes (up to 5-axis) to manufacture complex aerospace componentsPerform precision inspections using an array of metrology equipment to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to drawings and tolerancesRead and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, GD&T, and other technical documents to complete machining operationsManage cutting tools in CNC machines, ensuring optimal tool load and measurement for upcoming programsTroubleshoot and resolve operational issues, including alarm resolutions and tooling repairs, to maintain maximum machine uptimeOperate CNC machines in a production environment, producing both development and flight hardware while meeting quick-turn program goalsConduct on-machine deburring and precision cleaning of components to ensure quality and reduce human interventionMaintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company guidelines and 5S principlesProvide continuous feedback for process improvements and efficiency opportunities to engineering and leadershipActively participate in preventative maintenance of CNC machines on a weekly and monthly basisCommunicate with shop leadership regarding production challenges and collaborate with teammates to support workflowMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate5+ years of experience in CNC machining, particularly with aerospace machine shops and hard metalsProficient in G-code, with strong setup and operational skills on CNC mills and lathesAbility to read and understand complex blueprints, GD&T, and tolerancesPreferred Skills and ExperienceExperience with various materials such as Inconel, titanium, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum3+ years of setup experience on vertical mills1+ year of experience setting up and operating 5-axis millsFamiliarity with CNC programming using software such as NX, Solidworks HSM, Mastercam, Fusion 360 or Esprit CAD/CAMExperience with multiple CNC control systems, including Heidenhain, Haas, Fanuc, Siemens, and othersStrong mechanical aptitude and understanding of tooling technology and shop mathExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute to a team-oriented environmentAdditional Information:Must be available to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends as neededAbility to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted and stand for extended periods (8 hours minimum)Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spacesComfort with repetitive movements and exposure to sounds and noise levels that may be distractingCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
