Monitoring and Operations Center System Administrator

We have an immediate (on-site) System Administrator position available in Columbia, SC. If you join our team in this role, you will efficiently multitask while addressing issues via phone and email, providing comprehensive administration and support across our government client's enterprise systems. Primary Roles and Responsibilities: Perform steady-state administration and monitoring of enterprise management systems. Handle system maintenance, troubleshoot and resolve issues, install security patches, manage patching, and execute hardware/software upgrades. Oversee data storage, retrieval, backup job creation and modification, and data replication. Optimize systems, update documentation, and assist with research for configuration conflicts. Support enterprise-wide SCCM deployments and utilize management tools like HP SIM, SolarWinds, CommVault, vCenter, and others. Provide steady-state support for Microsoft Active Directory, including management of AD components, DNS, GPOs, and system backup/recovery operations. Monitor systems for potential issues, ensure compliance with enterprise standards, and manage hardware installations, cabling, and equipment relocations as needed. Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience: Associate's degree in computer science or related IT field; OR CompTIA Security+ certification; OR 2 years of experience in Windows Active Directory, network, and IT operations and IT hardware support; OR 2 years IT Help Desk support experience in a Windows Active Directory environment Clearance: Must be able to have/obtain a Secret clearance.
