Responsibilities
* The Clinical Assistant is responsible for transporting, rooming, and preparing patients for physician, advanced practice provider, and nurse clinic visits.* The Clinical Assistant will serve as the first clinical contact for incoming clinic patients and must represent OHI in regard to Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures.* Responsibilities include completion of vital signs, medication reconciliation, allergy review, inquiry of past medical and family history, and documentation of the above in the electronic medical record.* The Clinical Assistant will participate in completion of provider orders by accurately performing EKGs, appropriately applying ambulatory cardiac monitoring, correctly selecting and documenting medication samples, and patient education of the above as directed by nurse or provider.* The Clinical Assistant will assist with additional clinic and/or administrative duties as delegated by the nurse, provider, or supervisor.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* High School or GED* Completed a Medical Assistant program and/or a Certified Nurse Aide program.* BLS, PALS, or ACLS may be required for certain units
Preferred Job Requirements:
* 1-3 years of previous experience* Vocational / Technical Education
