Groups Recover Together is an outpatient addiction medicine provider that delivers comprehensive outpatient treatment for opioid addiction. Responsibilities
The Senior Staff Accountant will serve a key accounting role in the Finance organization, reporting to the Controller.You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will...Perform monthly close activities, including preparation of revenue, accounts receivable, capitalized software development, fixed assets, and accrual journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses
Continually develop and implement process improvements to streamline revenue recognition and shorten close timelinesAssist with annual financial audits, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation to the external auditorsAssist Controller in performing technical accounting research and prepare documentation around audit risk areasProvide clear and concise flux commentary for both balance sheet and income statement accounts/trends on a monthly basis for assigned accountsHelp enhance documentation, reconciliation schedules, and analyses that support strong internal control environmentSupport ERP enhancements and system implementations, as neededAbility to work well with cross functional teams within finance (FP&A, Operations, Product, etc.) to achieve results efficiently and effectivelyAd hoc projects and technical accounting research as needed to support the role and function
Qualifications
We're Excited About You Because...Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceAt least 3 years of experience in accountingExperience working with one or more financial ERP/general ledger systems. Intacct experience is a plusStrong technical accounting skills and exposure with U.S. GAAPStrong organizational and communication skills requiredIntermediate to advanced Excel skills requiredExcellent customer service skills requiredAbility to effectively operate in a fast-paced team environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadline
