Lead Driver

A Lead Driver will split duties as a Driver and Trainer.

The Lead Driver is required to execute standard routes as assignedOn-Road Duties

Communicate effectively to Drivers concerning on-the-road issues and serve as the guide for a Driver's on-the-road experience.Execute rescues when needed in a timely manner to avoid late deliveries, impact to customer promise, and working hours compliance.Monitor excessive rescue needs for Drivers and escalate for the Operations Lead to coach.Execute dispatching duties, as needed.

Opening/Closing

Open Shift Time: 9am - 7pmClosing Shift Time: 11am - 9pmAssist with opening activities to ensure driver pouches are prepared and distributed to Drivers on time.Prepare the daily van assignments spreadsheet and HERA.Lead morning stand-up meetings on days assigned and discuss standard work, safety tips, success stories, and other pertinent topics.Edit route assignments as Drivers call out to ensure all routes are covered and executed on time, which includes picking up a route or sweeping if necessary.Conduct closing duties ensuring all vehicles and pouches are sanitized, phones/battery packs are charged, vehicles are fueled, and the daily report is sent to management (follow the daily report format).

Trainer

Conduct ride-alongs for new and performance improvement Drivers.Develop training plans for Drivers new to Netradyne vehicles.Assist with the organization and processes of Drivers during loadout.Provide constructive guidance for on-the-road experience to optimize Driver efficiency.

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to streamline the current processes and procedures, cut costs and improve delivery performance and escalate such ideas to the Operations Lead.Execute ad-hoc projects to improve the flow of work and delivery performance for MELL as directed by the Operations Lead.
