Description

Job Purpose:

Aid Casino General Manager by coordinating office services, such as personnel, budget preparation and control, housekeeping, records control, and special management studies.Coordinate and direct office services and communication to include telephone correspondence, appointment schedule, records and budget preparation, transmission of electronic correspondence and respond independently when possible.Direct preparation of records and reports, such as agendas, notices, minutes, and recommendations for solutions of administrative problems and annual reports.Act as liaison between departments, tribe, and the General ManagerAct as a custodian of corporate documents and records.Serve as Notary Public for the Casino.Direct preparation and filing of corporate legal documents with state and local government agencies to conform to statutes.Handle Debarment, Risk Management and General Liability claims.Responsible for compiling information from Incident and Surveillance reports to generate General Liability claims.Review findings from Gaming Commission Audit Reports and assist General Manager in writing a response.Maintain and coordinate daily head count data for financial forecasting.Prepare memorandums outlining and explaining administrative procedures and policies to the Operation Committee and monitors compliance.Sort and distribute Casino mail.Coordinate outside training and travel arrangements for Executives and management. Compiles documents for travel-related meetings.Serve in the capacity of minute taker for the Business Board and transcribe minutes from monthly meetings.Take and transcribe dictation, compose, and prepare confidential correspondence and reports.Maintain adequate supplies and order as needed.Serve as a member of Operations Committee on special studies.Perform other duties and projects as required.

Qualifications

Must have excellent communication and written skills.Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.Office skills, ability to use standard office equipment and computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet.Ability to maintain organization, meet deadlines, possesses integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in handling confidential information.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with stress.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively and diplomatically with the public, Tribe, employees, and customers.Ability to perform assigned duties with a minimum of supervision
