Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League’s 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC began competing in MLS in April 2021 and played its first match at home on June 19, 2021, in the new, 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium. Now in its fourth season, Austin FC currently holds the longest active sellout streak in MLS.

Austin FC is seeking an experienced, driven, and motivated Director of Match Presentation responsible for the development, management, and execution of the Club’s match day presentation for Austin FC matches and ancillary events. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the Club’s approach to matchday programming, focusing on developing a best-in-class fan experience among Major League Soccer clubs and serve as the lead producer on matchdays.

This position will be based in Austin, TX and the role will be in-person based in Q2 Stadium and Austin FC's business office.

You Will:

Lead the conception, development, and execution of the fan match experience strategy at Q2 Stadium for the Club’s home matches;

Facilitate consumer-facing activation planning in the lead-up to Austin FC matchdays and ancillary events;

Produce all Austin FC home matches and marketing specific events including media day/content gathering and jersey launch;

Serve as lead manager on all entertainment elements featured in the match run of show (e.g., videoboard programming, lights, pyro, music);

Lead a team of matchday professionals to support the stadium-wide programming for Austin FC home matches;

Collaborate closely with other departments within the club to enhance client and partner experience;

Lead and provide support in the match experience strategy for Austin FC II matches;

Develop and execute Austin FC’s signature pre-match show before kickoff;

Create detailed game day timelines to be shared internally for necessary departments;

Manage third party relationships related to match presentation, including invoicing and budget oversight;

Collaborate with the Brand, Design, and Fan Development departments on the planning and execution of the match presentation;

Collaborate with Austin FC Supporter Groups on run of show interaction.

You Have:

Bachelor’s Degree

Experience managing and executing MLS or other pro sports game presentation

Ability to think creatively, using inspiration inside and outside the soccer world

Proficiency in leading a team

Experience with match media production

English language proficiency (Spanish language skills are a plus)

An outstanding work ethic and attention to detail

Experience in sports live event production; past experience in soccer a plus
