Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Staff UX Designer to join our software product management team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and enhancing the user experience of our internal web applications. You will also be tasked with conducting UX research to inform and validate your design decisions. This is a critical role that requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design & Prototyping:

Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, user feedback, and usability findings. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design ideas.

UX Research:

Plan and conduct user research to gather insights into user behavior, needs, and pain points. Use a variety of methods including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics.

Collaboration:

Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design vision is executed effectively. Participate in cross-functional team discussions to align on design goals and objectives.

Usability Testing:

Design and conduct usability tests to validate design solutions and identify areas for improvement. Analyze and present findings to the team.

Iteration & Improvement:

Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure our products remain user-friendly and innovative.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed documentation of design processes, research findings, and design decisions.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design and research work.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Skills:

Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.

Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to conduct various UX research methods and synthesize findings into actionable insights.

Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic understanding of front-end development is a plus.
