About the team you are joining
The Airline, Airport and Security OCS department provides the aviation industry with transformative Operational and Compliance solutions helping to drive overall profitability and sustainability. Within the department, the IATA Identity Services team provides the aviation industry with coding and identification services which power a globally connected travel ecosystem. We manage airport codes, airline codes and travel seller identification and verification on behalf of the wider travel industry.
You will manage IATA’s products and services for the standard identification of travel professionals across the value chain. This covers existing well-established products such as the IATA / IATAN ID Card, as well as new product development related to digital identification and expansion into new segments.
What your day would be like
Strategic product management and development of the next generation industry professional identification services, including the IATA / IATAN Travel Agent ID Card, and migration to a world powered by digital identities.
Develop go-to-market strategies and support marketing and sales activities to ensure product and financial targets are achieved.
Collaborate with IATA and industry stakeholders defining a product strategy and executing on the roadmap.
Deliver product enhancements with prioritized features in line with defined roadmap.
Act as a leader in the employee digital identification space within IATA and the industry.
Expand portfolio into new industry segments based on market research and industry knowledge.
Work with the operations and customer service teams ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Manage strategic vendors to support existing travel professional identification initiatives as well as new activities that support the product roadmap.
Engage closely with IATA and industry stakeholders and participate in industry forums to promote the value of industry professional identification and related personnel identity verification services.
Maintain full P&L ownership for the portfolio including managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
We would love to hear from you if you possess:
University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or equivalent.
7 - 10 years of commercial / product management experience preferably in the airline or wider travel industry.
Experience in the travel industry, with emphasis on distribution.
Knowledge and experience with identity management solutions and their implementation.
Outstanding presentation and communication skills with ability to transmit messages effectively and concisely.
Strong leader, comfortable in managing multifunctional teams and external suppliers.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build sustainable relationships with stakeholders.
Comfortable in public speaking and influencing key stakeholders.
Attention to detail and an ability to sift through data to derive thoughtful insights.
Flexible, innovative, and can-do mentality and the ability to work in a complex, business critical and high-profile commercial environment and in ambiguous situations.
Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages desirable.
