Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks.
- Oversee and manage the entire product development cycle, from initial concept to production.
- Conduct mechanical testing on products to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Design and develop machinery and equipment layouts, optimizing for efficiency and safety.
- Prepare and interpret detailed engineering drawings and schematics.
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for machinery and equipment.
- Perform engineering analysis to predict and improve product performance.
- Utilize 3D printing technologies for prototyping and manufacturing.
- Manage and oversee projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality control, to ensure products meet the desired specifications and quality standards.
- Continually evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant CAD software.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and product development.
- Experience in mechanical testing and machine design.
- Ability to interpret and prepare detailed engineering drawings.
- Experience in implementing and managing preventative maintenance programs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed engineering analysis.
- Experience with 3D printing technologies.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
