Beds: 44 private and semi-private roomsPatient Types:Any medical diagnosis except primary Cardiac could be seen on this unit.Unit will monitor patients on Telemetry (Med-Tele)Common diagnoses include but are not limited to: Stroke, COPD, Respiratory issues and illnesses – Flu/PNA/COVID, GI Bleed, Renal Failure (AKI/CKD), Electrolyte imbalance, altered mental status, weakness, non-operable fracturesNon-surgical unitPatient Ratios:RN: Days 1:4-5; Nights 1:5-6May vary based on patient acuity, tech support, insulin drips within assignment, etc.Skills required:Cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), Insulin drips, Heparin drips - training available from charge and educator – does not require manager approval to offer but will be noted in the offer email for CRT if traveler has not doneReading/Interpreting Rhythm strips – please decline if they are not comfortable with thisTrach care, Chest tube management, General Medical Surgical skills (wound care, IVABX, Drain/tube management, IV starts, central line management, etc.)Support on the Unit:CNACharge nurse - will typically not have a patient assignmentPhlebotomy?
