We're hiring Distribution Center Associates across multiple shifts with both full-time and part-time positions available You will report directly to a DC Supervisor or Process Manager and have regular interaction with other DC Associates. Join us at our state-of-the-art 1.3 million sq. ft. distribution center 400 Bordentown Hedding Rd, Bordentown, NJ 08505. Flexible Shifts, Pay, and Benefits: Dayshift: Monday - Friday 9:00am start time Pay starting at $20/hour with three raises in 12 months bringing your pay to $21.20/hour BENEFITS DAY ONE: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage startsday one 18 paid time off days and 6 company holidays per year 6% 401(k) company contribution each pay period Employee discounts, parental leave, and more Safety shoes provided Primary Function: Performs tasks associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of product while meeting productivity, quality, safety, behavioral and attendance expectations. Effectively and efficiently uses established procedures, tools, equipment, and technologies to complete transactions related to inbound and outbound processes with a distribution center. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Safely perform assigned warehouse functions utilizing established processes, procedures and tools while meeting performance expectations for productivity, quality, safety, attendance, Overall Performance. Functions may include, but are not limited to unloading parcel trailer by hand, unloading trailers with use of Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE), put-away, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, replenishing, auditing, shipping, making boxes, etc. Complies with Grainger policies, guidelines and procedures as well as state and federal regulations, OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements in the storage, handling and movement of product. Performs necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment. Actively participates in process improvements by utilizing Grainger's quality system. Able to meet productivity, quality, safety, and attendance requirements. Able to do continuous lifting up to 75 pounds and be able to operate warehouse vehicles and material handling equipment. Must be customer service oriented Possess good attention to ensure accuracy and quality No written warnings or higher in the last 6 months in current position for 6 months. No work restrictions Preferred Education & Experience: Must have a minimum of 6-12 months warehouse or related experience. High school diploma or equivalent Must have the ability to communicate improvement opportunities as well as concerns within the process Must be self-motivated and performance driven Able to operate computerized scanning equipment. Work Environment: Must be able to tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and work around moving equipment Position must operate in compliance with OSHA and Hazardous Materials guidelines.
