This position receives operational and clinical direction from the Pre-OP/PACU/OR RN Supervisor. Supports the vision of the positive patient outcomes. Supports standards of care in association with compliance to all state and federal regulations, standards of practice and SMA policies and procedures. These positions will also allow for varied scheduling of surgeries to accommodate requests for late blocks and possible weekend block for surgeries.

Primary Responsibilities:

Implementing patient care using nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documentationDocumentation of initial assessment, nursing intervention and patient and facility education and responseSafe control of all pharmacy and medical suppliesAssists in maintaining clean patient care environmentProfessional courteous rapport with patient’s families, coworkers, and surgeonsLiaison between patient, family, surgeon, and staff to coordinate care and servicesConduct pre- and post-operative teaching to patient and family membersParticipates in facility compliance activities and programsWorks cooperatively with other members of the team to maintain records and reach facility goals

High school diploma or equivalentBLS/ACLS/PALSActive unrestricted RN license in the state of Nevada1+ years of experience in medical surgery, ER, or critical care experienceProven positive, motivated work environment focused on improving the lives of others and helping others live their best life

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
