About The Role
The Business Analyst 2 is responsible for working with business line stakeholders to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate complex business and solution requirements to meet business needs. Under the direction of the Director, Project Management Office, this individual will lead diverse stakeholder groups, drive consensus, and create a shared understanding between the business lines and the solution delivery team while ensuring alignment with VCCU's technology and member service strategies. Using their knowledge of business goals, they translate strategies and initiatives into comprehensive action plans with required deliverables.
This position is primarily based at our headquarters office in Ventura, CA; daily travel to our corporate office is expected.

What You'll DoLeads the development of Lean Business Cases, including project summary, must-have business requirements, cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment, and scope.Facilitates and leads standard agile ceremonies (sprint planning, etc.). Develops and documents complex epics, features, user stories, high-level process maps, and supporting documentation.Leads application testing, piloting, implementation, and training activities. Consults on the development and updating of training materials/user manuals and prepares documentation for assigned products.Drives prioritization of work on capabilities, working closely with the product owner, and ensuring sufficient review for effective and automation-ready business processes or activities.Effectively communicates and interacts with business and technical stakeholders to solve complex data-related business and technical problems.Ensures compliance with company data and software policies and procedures. Monitors software systems to ensure the reliability and accuracy of information.Acts as a product owner/product owner proxy and mentors the Business Analyst 1.What We're Seeking
3+ years' of experience in financial services, directly working with lending and/or deposit operations platforms and processes. Including domain knowledge of the assets and liabilities side of credit union business operations.Experience communicating to all levels within an organization, project management, and organizational skills required.Knowledge of software languages that pertain to network and server operating systems. This includes capturing requirements using user stories and use cases with tools such as JIRA.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Teams.A bachelor's degree in a STEM field is required. May accept equivalent experience in lieu of education.What Will Make You Stand Out
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL server is a plus.Previous experience identifying innovative solutions to achieve business line objectives and drive team approaches across different functions.Proven ability to conduct complex work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment.A dedication to service, working with organizations that seek to improve the lives of people in your community.What's In It For You
