**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Step Down Unit

**License:** Pending license accepted, requires MO or compact license

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS

**Must-Have:** EPIC charting experience

**Job Description:**- Work in a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level I Trauma Center capabilities.- Provide patient care for common surgical procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), mitral valve repair or replacement (MVR), aortic valve repair or replacement (AVR), aortic aneurysm repair, Maze procedure, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), heart transplant, and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implant.- Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio.- Commitment to working every other weekend as required.- No on-call requirements.- Flexibility to float within the scope to meet facility needs is required.- Block scheduling not accommodated.- Travel candidates only; no locals accepted within a 75-mile radius.- Must provide two supervisory references from the last two years.- Required to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day).- Completion of 40 hours of orientation is necessary.- Fulfill compliance and module requirements pre-start.- Flu vaccine mandatory with exemptions considered for medical or religious reasons.- Facial hair policy for fit testing compliance must be adhered to.

**Additional Notes:**- Modules are completed pre-start and take up to 16 hours.- All standard travel staff can stay for up to 18 months, with a required 3-month break after.- No medical marijuana cards accepted.
