As a
Document Control Specialist , you will ensure the accurate management of vital project data, acting as a cornerstone of our project success. You will oversee document retention, ensure consistency in data across platforms, and provide invaluable support to engineering and construction teams working on critical energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain
document control procedures
to ensure project teams adhere to company standards and document numbering schemesAssist in the development, training, and implementation of
document control standards
tailored to both Ampirical and client needsProvide guidance and clarification on document management processes to internal teamsConduct
quality control checks
on project-related documents to ensure compliance with project guidelines before distributionPrepare and manage
transmittals for project documents , using project distribution matricesMaintain project databases, folders, and libraries, ensuring integrity in the
Master Document RepositoryTrack supplier approval drawings throughout the design and procurement phasesProvide
technical assistance
with data import/export processes across platforms (e.g., SharePoint, ShareFile, Procore, Fusion)Support data storage site maintenance and manage
user security rights
as neededWho You Are:
Associate's Degree
in Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred (but not required)Experience in
engineering or construction project administration
(preferably within the energy sector)Strong understanding of
document content
and ability to assign correct control numbersExceptional organizational skills to meet deadlines and prioritize requests independentlyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable collaborating across teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint)Microsoft Office Specialist Certification
preferred but not requiredExperience with
Bluebeam Revu
or similar PDF editing softwareAbility to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
