Position Type: Technology and Creative Development/Network Administrator Date Posted: 10/1/2024 Location: Education Service Center Region 13 District: Education Service Center Region 13 - website Salary: This is a full-time 12 month position at 232 days with a minimum annual salary of $79,447.00. Job Summary/Primary Purpose: Work independently with minimal supervision to support wide area networks (WAN) and local area networks (LAN) and security services to school districts and ESC 13 core technology services. Required Qualifications (years of experience, education, certifications): Any of the following will be considered: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Associate degree in a technical field and 3 years of experience in networking and security Technical school completion and 3 years of experience in networking and security Significant experience in networking and security can be considered in place of formal education Preferred Qualifications (years of experience, education, certifications): Relevant industry experience and certifications (i.e.: CompTIA, CCNA, pfSense, Microsoft Azure, AWS Certified, etc) Texas Cybersecurity Framework HP/Aruba Greenlake Cisco Meraki Management Ubiquiti Unifi Major Responsibilities: Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion a all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public Provide network support on-site support to internal and external clients by phone and on-site service Monitor WAN and LAN network status for school districts and ESC Region 13, including monitoring benchmark performance for connectivity to multiple upstream providers and school districts Manage network routers, firewalls, switches and content filters Manage and monitor intrusion detection systems and mitigate DDOS events Manage and monitor wireless networks for on-site and remote clients Manage equipment configurations and installation for WAN and LAN on site and at school districts Conduct server installations and management Participate with network planning, design, and equipment requirements Research and maintain current cybersecurity policies and procedures Create and maintain pertinent design and configuration documentation for team usage Perform other duties as assigned.
