Lead Records & Information Management Specialist at Bureau of Reclamation in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Lead Records & Information Management Specialist. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: Boise, Idaho Responsibilities Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Serves as coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus-building activities among team members. Ensures compliance with records policies, procedures, and standards, through the use of on-site reviews, sampling, and evaluations. Provides advisory and consultation services to the Regional Office, Area Offices, and Field Offices support staff regarding effective and efficient records management, regardless of media, i.e., paper, electronic, audio-visual, drawings, microfilm, photographs, compact and optical disks, computer tapes, etc. Collaborates with records and information management program officials at Area and Field Offices to develop strategic plans and initiatives to meet their short- and long-range records and information management goals. To qualify at the GS-11, you must possess one year of specialize experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-09 level in federal service having demonstrated experience 1) administering records management programs; 2) conducting inspections of the organization's record keeping process; 3) analyzing records management program efficiency; and 4) developing and implementing business practices and standard operating procedures related to records management, in compliance with regulatory requirements.. You could otherwise qualify on the basis of Education you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 in Federal service OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related. You may combine specialized experience and education to meet the minimum qualifications. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 09/11/2024. Education This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience at the GS-11 grade level.
