Job SummaryThis Data Governance Analyst is responsible for delivering best in class data analysis across various data domains to help deliver relevant data governance and quality solutions for high-value critical data. The Data Governance Analyst will actively engage in project definition and scoping, requirements gathering, level of effort estimation, issue escalation, detailed timeline planning and adherence to solutions involving data, technology and business processes.
Job DescriptionKey Competencies:Experience Required: 3 to 5 years as Data Analyst, Business Analyst or like role;Experience across a variety of functional disciplines in developing solutions that include: Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Catalog & Glossary and Enablement of BI Semantic layer;Data Quality design for propelling BI & AnalyticsExperience Desired: Informatica; ETL, Data Integration or MuleSoft;Experience Desired: Understanding of relational databases and skills in SQL queries/scriptingRetail systems/application support experience;Experience working within the Scrum or Agile project frameworkEducation Required: Bachelors Degree in a related fieldJob ResponsibilitiesCollaborate and communicate with business partners within the company to understand and assess data opportunities and challenges.Execute strategic & and tactical projects related to data, data governance and data quality programsDefine data requirements, data & process workflows, current & future state analysis and data analysis related to data, data governance & data qualityProvide data & technical support related to Enterprise Data Governance program.About UsAt Giant Eagle Inc., were more than just food, fuel and convenience.
