Database Administrator (Hybrid - MN office)

Essential Functions:Azure Cloud administration including SQL Server setup, migration, and support.Responsible for performance monitoring on SQL Servers to ensure optimal experience for end users.Refine server design for databases to meet storage requirements.Responsible for managing both frontend and backend access to all databases, including security configuration for Microsoft SSRS using the rule of least privilege.Responsible for SQL Server design to ensure availability and performance needs are realized by end users.Provide leadership in the development and management of the Database Security Plan for Information Systems.Responsible for developing, documenting, managing, and implementing a backup and restore strategy to meet RPO and RTO business requirements while ensuring data integrity.Responsible for implementing a disaster recovery solution including availability groups.Responsible for installing, updating, and patching MS SQL Server and Reporting Services.Provide leadership and make recommendations to the business for major process changes.Provide leadership regarding SQL resource needs when working with vendors.Responsible for overall performance tuning of servers and databases using best practices.Advises on data purging, archiving and retrieval as it relates to data stored in SQL Server.Responsible for deploying and troubleshooting Microsoft SSIS packages and SSRS reports.Responsible for the development and maintenance of databases used by custom applications.Make suggestions to management on ways to use technology to improve and or automate existing business processes used by the various business units.Proactively monitor and respond to MSSQL database alerts.Assist with optimization of SQL Queries/Code as necessary.Follow MS best practices for SQL security and make recommendations.Performance monitoring on SQL Servers to ensure optimal experience to end users.Provide and implement timely resolution to all Data Center Operations supported SQL Server technical issues.Develop and maintain knowledge base of procedural, overview and Architectual/Design documentation utilizing the department documentation framework.Develop and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with all Wings staff and internal business customers.Remain engaged with company-wide system enhancements of software, hardware, networking, cloud services and data communications.Remain current and engaged with changes in technology and industry best practices, applying new technology and techniques as appropriate.Continuously Identifying areas in the technology stack that can be improved and optimized.Provide Mentorship to individuals and teams within the organization.Act with a sense of urgency to address any issues that arise and engage teams to assist with resolution.Respond to all requests including on-call requests within defined SLA.Act as a key collaborative resource with business, leadership, and technology teams for routine issues and project-related requirements.On-call rotation requirement to ensure 24x7 support of database operations.Minimum Qualifications:

College course work or other specialized technical training.At least 4 years of experience providing database support in an enterprise environment with increasing responsibility.Certification required in current versions of SQL Server.Experience in supporting SQL ServerBondablePreferred Skills/Experience:
