Active Directory Migration SpecialistMilwaukee WI or Paramus, NJ2 days per week onsite6 month to 1 year project for large AD MigrationThe Active Directory Migration Specialist is responsible for supporting Active Directory Migration in a large enterprise environment. Will be responsible for performing discovery and migrations of users/computers/servers and continual support for Windows workstation/server migration related issues. Will perform application assessment, documentation, planning, work with the technical debt team on application migrations to GoogleApp/SaaS replacements as well as migrations using Quest's On Demand Migration for Active Directory (ODM-AD).Purpose:Support Active Directory Migration effortsPerform discovery and migrations of users/computers/serversProvide continual support for Windows workstation/server migration issuesPerform application assessment, documentation, and planningWork with the technical debt team on application migrations to GoogleApp/SaaS replacementsPerform migrations using Quest's On Demand Migration for Active Directory (ODM-AD)Primary Duties / Responsibilities:Application assessment, documentation, and planningDiscovery of Active Directory, sites, users, computers, servers, applications, OUs, GPOs, group membershipsAnalyze systems and assist with migration approachesCommunicate with site managers, end users, technical leads, and project managersSubmit change requests, send communications, schedule, and perform user and computer migrationsProvide input to system environment changes to ensure minimal disruptionAssist with documentation, standards, policies, procedures, and configurations in ConfluenceAct as escalation point for Active Directory Migration issuesFollow and incorporate ITIL methodologyQualifications/Experience/Background:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent work experienceMinimum 5 years of Windows Server and Active Directory administration experienceMinimum 3 years experience with Citrix Xenapp, Citrix Cloud, VDAs, VDIsMicrosoft MCSE certification a plusTechnical knowledge of systems including servers, virtualization, backup, recovery, and cloudExperience in a complex multi-forest, multi-domain Active Directory environmentExperience in a highly secure tiered infrastructure environmentExperience with Microsoft Entra Connect/Azure AD Connect a plusExperience with Windows desktops & serversExperience with Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS Servers)Experience with Active Directory MigrationExperience with Quest's Migration Manager for Active Directory and File Servers (MMAD)Experience with Quest's On Demand Migration for Active Directory (ODM-AD)Experience with Quests OneIdentity Password ManagerExperience with PowerShell, scripting, and automating tasksExperience with VMware and virtualizationExperience with Citrix Cloud Xenapp, VDA, VDIExperience with Linux a plusExperience with AWS a plusExperience with SCCM a plusSend your resume to kaci.railey@cdw.com to schedule an interview this week!
