VSP - Web Developer (PHP) - IN PERSON IVS ONLY

This position will be reporting to the Website Coordinator and joining a highly dynamic and results-oriented team. It will be a key resource in providing enhancements and security for multiple WordPress applications. The work will support highway safety, emergency messaging, lead acquisition, as well as several public outreach programs. Responsibilities Work across the full stack, building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable, distributed features and solutions that enable positive user experiences across desktop and mobile. Develop new features in support of business and project requirements. Manage vendor support as needed for maintenance and enhancement. Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities. Requirements Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in information sciences, computer science, or a related field; considerable software implementation experience. Proficiency in PHP. Understanding of WordPress architecture. Understanding of SQL. Understanding of REST API. Ability to work as a team member on web development projects end-to-end. Proven knowledge of back-end/infrastructure maintenance and optimization and UX/UI principles. Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of secure coding practices. Outstanding communication skills. Candidates must physically reside within the US for the duration of the assignment. Interviews are conducted on-site only (No exceptions). If selected, candidates will need to plan to be on-site 4 days a week and be available to be on-site as needed (potentially 5 days) if the work or manager requires it.
