Network Administrator

Job Summary:

We are looking for an on-site, experienced Network Administrator to manage and support our expanding network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with network setup, management, troubleshooting, and optimization, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our systems. You will work with various networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, and collaborate closely with other IT staff to manage both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:Network Maintenance & Management:

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability.Optimize network performance by performing regular network monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting using appropriate tools.

Security & Compliance:

Manage firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols to ensure the security of the network.Stay up-to-date on network security standards and manage security tools to protect network resources.Collaborate with the security team to enforce policies, perform audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Certificate Management:

Manage the entire lifecycle of SSL/TLS certificates, including creation, renewal, revocation, and troubleshooting.Administer internal and external Certificate Authorities (CA) to ensure compliance and security standards.Implement automated solutions for certificate issuance and renewal.Conduct regular audits of certificates to identify and replace expired, weak, or insecure certificates.

Infrastructure Design & Implementation:

Assist and deploy new networks, including hardware setup and configuration, based on organizational needs.Plan and maintain network hardware, including servers, routers, and switches, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.

Troubleshooting & Support:

Provide technical support to resolve network-related issues for employees and clients.Respond to and resolve network outages, interruptions, or performance issues in a timely manner.Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, changes, configurations, and troubleshooting processes.Regularly report on network status, performance metrics, and potential risks to senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or similar roles.Expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, TLS/SSL and VPN technologies.Configuring and managing network devices (switches, routers)Solid knowledge of firewall configuration and security best practices.Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools like Wireshark, Nagios.Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and cloud networking.Strong understanding of network security principles and familiarity with encryption, authentication, and firewall technologies.Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or CISSP are highly desirable.Personal Attributes:
