Job Description Summary The Senior Database Administrator is a key player in managing and maintaining both production and non-production databases. This role is pivotal in setting the standards and designs for physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration. This position requires handling moderately complex to complex issues where in-depth evaluation of variable factors is necessary. Detailed Responsibilities + Perform backups and recovery on Database Management Systems, configure database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models. + Define data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements to enhance database access and effectively allocate/reallocate database resources for optimal configuration, performance, and cost. + Support multiple services and multiple databases of medium to high complexity with various concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility of the data. + Respond to strategic requests from other teams, influencing the department's strategy by making decisions on technical approaches for project components. + Maintain the health of over 1,000 databases and implement change tickets submitted to the DBA team. + Interact with internal customers including Developers, Data Engineers, Product Owners, etc., providing consultation on database changes, best practices, and guidance on database usage and direction. + Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to ensure continuous support. + Work within a big job scheduling environment-active batch. + Engage with SQL databases and support the implementation of a new contract for Medicare. + Operate in agile environments, supporting multiple data teams and data warehouse systems. + Focus on modernization. + Manage and optimize SQL servers Required Qualifications + Must be a US Citizen + Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred or an equivalent technical training. Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for the degree. + 5 or more years of hands-on technical experience with SQL servers + 2 or more years of project leadership experience. + Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies. + Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact. + Passion for contributing to an organization focus To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
