Responsibilities:

Peraton is looking for a

Cloud Systems Engineer (CSE)

to support DISAs stand up of the Joint Operational Edge (JOE) and other cloud capabilities. The SSCE is responsible for implementing and operating the J6 cloud environment. Also responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the environment and providing engineering expertise for this environment. The CSE should have experience being part of a team and taking guidance from more senior team members when executing tasks.Additional responsibilities include:Experience with coding languages, such as Perl, Python, Powershell, CSP CLI, cloud foundations, etc.Experience with deploying virtualized compute resources within a CSP Virtual Data Center Security Stack via CSP consoleEnsure proper configuration management of network configuration itemsProvide traffic engineering analysis and studies as directed by the program office; this will include such tasks as SD-WAN technologiesExperience in deploying cluster storage with and on-premise Cloud infrastructure (most commonly block storage).Experience with deploying Kubernetes (e.g. EKS) container solutions within a CSP service hosting enclaveFamiliar with the deployment and administration of IT Networking components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc as virtualized devices.Familiar with standard routing protocols and switching architecture to implement on-premise Cloud Service Provider (CSP) service infrastructure equipment.Familiar with BGP implementations on Customer Edge (CE) routers in an HA pair and instantiating new circuit connectivity with a DoD Service Provider.Familiar with obtaining packet captures and decoding packet captures for resolving network-based issues such as latency, jitter, packet loss, etc.Automation experience using RedHat Ansible and/or HashiCorp Terraform.Develop and manage the execution of detailed transition plans for projectsDevelop and maintain Concept of Operations documentationParticipate in organization meetings, town halls, and similar events to integrate into the organization structureMust have access to SIPR, as most of this work will be on SIPRNetSome familiarity with the DoD Thunderdome project, as this infrastructure will interact and run on top of on-premise Cloud equipment

Qualifications:Required Qualifications:5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhDActive DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtainUS CitizenExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent writing and grammatical skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
