Job Description:
Mandatory Qualifications:Staff resource must have a minimum of five (5) years of working experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and Microsoft Power BI with a sound knowledge of database management, data modeling, business intelligence, SQL querying, data warehousing, and online analytical processing (OLAP)Staff resource must have five (5) years of experience working with OAC and Power BI. This experience should include monitoring the performance of reports and taking corrective action to optimize or improve the performance of the reports when necessary.Staff resource must have experience with self-service data preparation using OAC and Power BI dataflows. Familiarity with integrating OAC/Power BI dataflows and applying ETL at scale and setting up dataflow refresh schedules.Staff resource must have a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience specific to Power BI and/or Tableau report and visualization development.Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with data governance, data security, and data privacy regulationBasic understanding of measures and facts as frame for interacting with data.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, test, and implement dashboards and reports from data within the Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse utilizing either Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and/or Microsoft Power BIUnderstand the Business Users requirements in OAC/Power BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insightsDevelops Testing Approach, Plan, and Documentation of ResultsDevelops Requirements Specifications (e.g. ability to publish to web, identification and protection of PII data, etc)Develops Design SpecificationsDevelops a feedback mechanism to allow users to report issues with existing reportsBuilds and maintains report catalogGathers feedback to improve and expand on existing reports to better meet business needsConduct performance tuning and optimization of dashboard and reporting solutions for efficient and effective data retrieval and visualizationUnderstands best practices for report lifecycle management, version control, and data governance.Creates a user interface to ensure reports and dashboards are organized and easily accessibleEnsures report availability and performanceMentors and educates team members on best practices and industry standards
