Position Description:
Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, data managers, and other software developers to define, build, and deliver solutions to challenging problems in the oil and gas industry.Work closely with business stakeholders to implement, deploy, and support geostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, and geocoding tools.Support existing GIS solutions and data workflows.Integrate disparate datasets from dozens of systems and tie them spatially.Skills (required)
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Geographic Information Science, or related field of study.At least 5 years of experience in GIS and ESRI technologies.Domain knowledge of ESRI's product platform (Desktop, Pro, ArcPy, ArcGIS Server, GeoEvent Server, AGO, Portal, ESRI Javascript API, WebApp Builder, etc.)Experience in Python and SQL.Knowledge of GIS/geospatial workflows (geostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, geocoding, etc.)Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with software developers and domain experts.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Skills (Good to have)
Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Javascript, C#/.NET, JavaSQL and/or Oracle Database management (especially ArcSDE)Prior work experience in the upstream oil and gas industryPrior work experience with large scale data management systemsExperience working on teams following Agile software development methodologiesExperience working with surveying and remote sensing datasets (CAD, LiDAR, rasters, etc.)Experience participating in the user centered design processKnowledge of production systems like ProCount and Aries
Experience with analytical tools like Spotfire or Tableau
