The Scrum Master, reporting to the Director of IT, will facilitate agile processes, coach teams on Scrum principles, and remove obstacles to ensure continuous improvement. Acting as a liaison between product owners, stakeholders, and development teams, you'll drive successful project outcomes. Passionate about building a dynamic organization, you'll help deliver an industry-leading experience for healthcare professionals, partners, and Triage employees. Strong logic, problem-solving skills, and a drive to make a difference are essential.
Requirements
Core Functions & Responsibilities
Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departmentsOrganize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetingsTrack and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progressMaintain process documentationEnsure the development teams are abiding by the SAFe Lean-Agile Principles and Core Values of transparency, alignment, respect for people and relentless improvement. Assist as needed with backlog maintenance and preparation for quarterly PI Planning.Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating informationAssist with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugsParticipate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practicesIdentify and remove impediments, prevent distractionsEmpower the team to self-organizeParticipate proactively in developing an Agile Centre of ExcellenceIdentify knowledge gaps and educate project leadership and development team to close these gapsRequired Skills, Abilities, and Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, IT, or related field.Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification. SAFe® Scrum Master preferred is a plus.2+ years of Scrum Master experience.Strong understanding of agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.Healthcare or staffing industry experience is a plus.Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and SAFe experience are a plus.Proven experience leading teams as a servant leader using Agile techniques.Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.Strong collaboration, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.Familiar with agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure Boards) and metrics.Highly organized with excellent time management and adaptability.Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.Empathetic, collaborative, and results-oriented under pressure.Work Schedule
