Operations Team as a Senior Data Analyst

This individual will collect data, extract insightful information, and provide a clear understanding of how data can be used to advance a company toward Amwins CST Operations Team throughout the fast-paced data analysis process. Reporting to the Workforce Manager, the Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for gathering data, developing reports, writing formulas, maintaining documentation, recommending visuals, automating existing reporting, resolving bugs and defects as necessary, and delivering analysis and insights to our business partners. Our ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, process improvement, and communication skills.

The firm is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina and has over 120 locations around the world. The firm has expertise across a diversified mix of property, casualty and group benefits products. Amwins also offers value-added services to support some of these products, including product development, underwriting, premium and claims administration and actuarial services.

As a valued Data Analytics Engineer with our firm, you will help to develop new and imaginative processes and procedures while performing in this role. This position requires on the job training that will provide a collaborative and exciting team focused environment. Joining Amwins as a team member with the Central Services Team will offer the opportunity for advancement as the department grows swiftly beyond its initial stages.

Responsibilities

Prepare weekly reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information on key metrics specific to functional area(s)Handle unique data analysis requests, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions for a range of functionsProvide valuable analytics and insights to functions throughout the businessImprove and automate existing reportsRegularly review reporting, update leadership on operational trends, and make recommendations on improvement opportunitiesReview and ensure all data points and reports are accurate and up to date and escalate any issues to the proper channels for quick resolutionEffectively identify problems that impact the work and analyze problems in a systematic but timely mannerMeet all project deadlines or coordinate with the appropriate parties on any issues or barriersQualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, software development, Data Science, Analytics or Software Engineering3-5 years of experience in Data AnalyticsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareProficient in SQL, MS Excel, and Power BI

Tableau experience accepted

Proven ability of reports that communicate information or meaning of dataset.Proven ability of gathering data from developed sources.Ability to execute with high quality and accuracy on assigned tasks within stipulated timelines.Show familiarity and experience in written communication with diverse internal stakeholders and external suppliers.Works well independently and as part of a team.
