Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) Subject Matter Expert (SME)

in Ft Meade, MD, for the Wideband SATCOM Operations and Technical Support II (WSOTS II) contract.

The ideal candidate will provide SME, training and operations support for DSCS satellites and the Replacement Satellite Configuration and Control Element (RSCCE) for the United States Space Force. Occasional travel to government sites is expected with this position.

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:Provide technical assistance, analysis, and informal training of DSCS satellites and the RSCCE payload control subsystemProvide technical support and analysis services to the payload controllers conducting command and control of DSCS communication payloads. This technical support includes developing and implementing procedures to identify and resolve complex satellite anomalies and performance analysis.Supports the generation of special data collections to assist in satellite testing, anomaly analysis, and other data required to support Wideband MILSATCOM operationsMinimum Qualifications:

Holds a U.S. Government TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibilitySpecific experience in RSCCE operations at a Wideband SATCOM Operations Center (WSOC)Ability to isolate and resolve complex problems, identify workarounds to these problems, and implement and document corrective actionsExcellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently as well as within a teamProficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:

DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+)Working knowledge of RMF and cybersecurity requirementsPrevious experience supporting DoD/government customersDemonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environmentSalary Range:

$78,000 - $128,000

Engineer Level 2: Bachelor's degree and three or more years of relevant experience, Master's degree with no experienceEngineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree and seven or more years relevant experience, Master's degree and four or more years relevant experienceAbout Auria
