Overview:GovCIO is currently looking for a SQL Server Database Administrator SME for our Courts proposal. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX.Responsibilities:
Under general direction, provides highly technical expertise and guidance in the architecture, design, implementation, support, operation and maintenance of database management systems (DBMS) such as lnformix, DB2, MySQL, and SQL ServerPerforms data movement, troubleshoots issues, and writes scripts to perform common database tasksMaintains complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methodsPerforms installs, configuration, migrations, restores, and monitors the security and performance of the systems are not compromisedProvides Tier 2 and Tier 3 supportPrepares and delivers presentations on DBMS conceptsQualifications:
Bachelor's with 5-8 years (or commensurate experience) of SQL Database experienceConsiderable knowledge of the job. Complete understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and its applicationProvides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problemsSolutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectivesWorks under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutionsWork is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectivesContributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resourcesStrong MS SQL Server database analytical and decision makingDemonstrated MS SQL Server database configuration and administration experienceDemonstrated MS SQL Server database performance tuning experienceDemonstrated MS SQL Server database backup and data recovery experienceDemonstrated MS SQL Server report writing experienceDemonstrated experience with Windows Server (2008 R2/2012) system administrationCompany Overview:

If hired, employee will be in an at-will position and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.Posted Salary Range: USD $100,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
