About the Role? IGNIS is looking for a mid-to-senior level Android Engineer. This role involves a blend of designing, developing, and managing an Android mapping application, and contributing to a team culture that champions innovation, collaboration, and quality. Responsibilities: + Design, build, and maintain mapping Android applications. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, develop, and launch new features. + Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. + Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and address issues to enhance reliability and functionality. + Uphold standards for code quality, organization, and automation. Job Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). + At least 4 years of experience in software engineering, with specific focus on mobile application development. + Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, and Go. + Extensive experience with technologies and frameworks such as Android Studio (leveraging Kotlin). + Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle. + Experience in creating and working with APIs (REST, GraphQL, and/or gRPC). + Experience with mapping technologies (Google Maps API, Mapbox, ArcGIS). + Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS. + Knowledge in database technologies and backend development. + A love of the outdoors and a desire to help preserve its natural beauty. + You have a passion for working on projects that create real-world impact. + Any experience with wildland firefighting is a plus. + Authorized to work in the U.S. Benefits and Perks: + Competitive salary and growth opportunities. + Company performance-based bonus plan. + Equity stock-based compensation package.? + Employer-funded comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance for employees and dependents? + 401k with company match.? + Employer-funded life and disability insurance coverage.? + Heath Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and Dependent Care FSA options.?
