Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Desktop Engineer to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, configuring, and maintaining PCs, as well as network-based hardware and software. Additionally, they should have experience working with Windows-based file servers, virtual machines, and network cabling. Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

5+ years of experience in a desktop support or engineering role is required.

Responsibilities:

Configure, deploy, and maintain desktop systems and applications. Ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest patches, updates, and security fixes.Provide advanced support for desktop issues, including hardware, software, and operating system problems. Resolve complex issues and escalate as necessary.Provide technical support for end-users, addressing issues related to, applications, and connectivity.Ensure the security and compliance of desktop environments, including data protection, access controls, and adherence to industry regulations.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide regular reports on system performance and issues.Collaborate with the internal technology team and external vendors to ensure the seamless integration of solutions within the overall IT infrastructure.Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users and IT staff on desktop tools and best practices.Provides basic computer orientation to new and existing Company employees.About the Company:
