Graveyard Support Technician (Wed to Sat shift)

We are hiring a Support Technician to start immediately.This is a Direct Hire position with full benefitsWednesdays to Saturdays four times a week, 10 hours shift, 9 PM to 7 AM PST100% on site in Long BeachYou might ocassionally be lifted up by the crane to troubleshoot, so need to be comfortbale with the heightSalary is up to 72k/yearThis person will be responsible for supporting Terminal Operations groups utilization of automation technology, which includes RFID, OCR and GPS solutions. Training will be provided on the terminal's specific operating environmentKey Responsibilities:Continual learning of operational and systems processesAssist in supporting and troubleshooting the Terminal's various ApplicationsMonitor and support Terminal systems, including but not limited to OCR, GPS and RFIDSupport the Gate System Applications including the Appointment System and train usersResearch both technical and process issues and escalate to appropriate vendorsMeet customer service levels and follow escalation procedures during system failuresProvide outstanding customer service and support to clientsCross training, knowledge transfer and documentation of all process and proceduresSupporting and troubleshooting networking and server hardwareMonitor and support terminal infrastructure hardware, including but not limited to: LTE and wifi environment, crane/gate/and yard systems, and Closed Circuit Television SystemsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field, preferred but not required.At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in an information technology environmentTerminal operations and terminal technology experience are desired, but not necessaryMust have strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze dataITIL Foundation preferredGood written & verbal communication skills, time management and documentation skillsAbility to work safely and independentlyStand out work ethicPunctualMust be able to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Card and pass internal background screen.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
