Senior SDET (iOS & Android)

IntroWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SDET to join our team on a hybrid basis. This is a 6-month contract opportunity. This role will require you to be onsite up to 3 days a week in Austin, Dallas, or Denver. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile development, automated testing, and experience in fast-paced, matrixed, or corporate environments.

Job Details- Interpret written requirements and technical specifications for software solutions to business problems.- Develop software based on technical specifications.- Analyze and investigate problems with software solutions reported by clients and document the results.- Perform maintenance of software and correct identified defects.- Run unit tests, implement test plans, test harnesses, and document test results.- Investigate and suggest solutions to defects and problems detected during testing.- Develop, execute, and maintain automation test cases and test scenarios for high volume, low latency web and desktop applications.- Design test automation framework for web services, APIs, and web-based applications.- Ensure automation is constantly running, analyzing, documenting, and promptly reporting on failures.- Partner with scrum team members to build out automation solutions to advance SDLCs and meet critical business objectives.- Design data persistence using SQL, MongoDB, or any database management system.- Drive a continuous improvement mentality to deliver robust performance testing strategies and methods.- Mentor peers and junior SDETs, creating a culture of following automation best practices and standards through code reviews.

Mandatory Skills- 6-10 years overall experience, with 3+ years in developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts.- Hands-on coding experience with Java, Kotlin, SWIFT, or other object-oriented programming languages.- Working knowledge of industry-standard tools for logging bugs and managing test cases (e.g., JIRA/MTM, Zephyr/HPQ).- Experience with XCUI and/or Espresso.- Solid understanding of Mobile Development on iOS and/or Android devices.- Understanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies.- Excellent communication skills.

Desired Skills- Financial/Trading services industry experience is a plus.- Experience with Agile/Lean development and testing practices, including Automated Test Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.- Experience with web service virtualization, data virtualization, and test data management.- Hands-on experience with browser automation testing tools (Sauce Labs, Selenium, Protractor, CodedUI, etc.).- Hands-on experience with SQL Server or document-oriented databases (MongoDB).- Hands-on experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Puppet, etc.).

LocationThis hybrid position is located in Austin or Dallas TX, United States, with onsite work required up to 3 days a week. The client will also consider candidates located in Denver/ Lone Tree, CO.
