Job Duties

The Department of Motor Vehicles is looking for an Access Security Analyst for a position with its IT Services administration.

The Access Security Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Identity & Access Management (I&AM) systems and processes comply with Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) and DMV policies. This role is critical in safeguarding sensitive DMV information by ensuring that all system employees and customers who have access are bound by clear and well-understood security policies and procedures.

The analyst will oversee the security of DMV Identity & Access controls across all environments. Acting under the authority of the agency's CISO, they will enforce policies, procedures, and standards for both internal and external users to ensure that access to DMV systems is properly secured.

The Access Security Analyst will support the preparation and management of security test and evaluation plans, as well as system project plans, to implement operational and technical security controls. This ensures compliance with Federal, COV, and PCI requirements. The analyst will also provide ongoing updates and information to the Information Security Officer (ISO) for Security Operations (SecOps) on the status of security measures and incidents.

Minimum Qualifications•Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively build relationships with, collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels, internal and external to the organization.•Possess excellent skills in communicating complex and technical concepts to audiences at different levels of understanding.•Experience in monitoring and protecting the attack surfaces as they relate to identity management controls.•Experience with IAM Tools such as SailPoint, Okta, ServiceNow, Active Roles Server.•Experience Writing Technical Documents and Audit Reports to Communicate Technical and Procedural Findings and Recommendations for Changes/Security Solutions (Identity Management, SAML, OAUTH, Directory Management).

Additional Considerations•Considerable Experience in Information Security as it Relates to Identity and Access Management Controls.•Experience with IT governance, policies, controls, and compliance.
