Overview of position: FEDITC is seeking a Network Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work in the Fort Huachuca, Arizona area. A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position. This is an upcoming opportunity contingent on contract award. Responsibilities: Provide network support services to include Enterprise network operation, DNS, web filtering and proxy servers, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Installation Processing Node (IPN), Theater IP management, network management, monitoring, access control, and firewalls. Respond to network changes, network failures, or modified network diagrams by utilizing a variety of network-related technologies: Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), VPN, device redundancy protocols, other exterior or interior gateway protocols, and Quality of Service (QoS) within an IP (hereafter taken to include versions 4 and/or 6) network that utilize various methods of encryption and transport security. Operate, monitor, sustain, and secure routers, switches, fabric interconnects, firewalls, Out-Of-Band (OOB) management routers, VPN, and access control servers. Implement, maintain, and document Access Control Lists (ACL) in the GCC AOR. Modify all GCC managed network devices on the ACL with no disruption in service. Create, add, delete, audit, and update Deny All/Permit by Exception (DAPE) security policies. Maintain accurate and complete Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS) along with Application Layer Filtering records for GCC-managed sites as required. Review submitted RFCs and other change configurations for accuracy, feasibility, and implementation concerns within the Enterprise network architecture. Create, maintain, and sustain accurate and standardized network site diagrams that include all GCC-managed devices, active network interfaces, IP addresses, subnet masks, attached circuits with purchased bandwidth rates, Command Communications Service Designators (CCSDs), and routing information. Secure, operate, maintain, monitor, and sustain EP-DNS IAW the systems owner's Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed (RACI) alignment. Coordinate delegations and transfer files, troubleshoot operational issues in a multi-discipline team, and assign/retrieve network IP space and autonomous system numbers. Provide technical guidance and support to sites, including base, camps, and stations (BPCS), along with tactical domain managers utilizing Army EP-DNS services. Operate and Maintain (O&M) EP-DNS by troubleshooting, correcting as directed via ticket, Operations Order (OPORD) or Task Order (TASKORD). Provide account management, enforce network ACLs, update/maintain IP filter list. Maintain databases and domain blocks as required. Modify data files daily to include bad zones blocks. Assign, manage, register, and reclaim all Army network IP space. Register and update network assignments with the DoD Network Information Center (NIC) and the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) to ensure registrations are current. Register all Army Autonomous System Numbers (ASN), domains, hosts, and users. Engage with public sector Internet Service providers (ISP) to answer questions regarding Army-managed IP space. Publish and update the DISA "WHO-IS" database which consists of updating Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) keys on authentication websites and maintaining DNSSEC zone registration. Create, modify, and schedule blocked zone transfer attempts and other EP-DNS statistical reports. Operate, monitor, sustain, and secure within GCC responsibility boundaries, the Enterprise reverse and forward web proxy servers/services and proxy monitoring tools. Provide web usage reports and statistical analysis reports as required. Monitor, secure, and remediate network issues. Automate network monitoring using automated tools and processes such as automated fault notification and dashboards where possible to proactively identify issues and respond in near "real-time" to expedite issue resolution and optimize service delivery for the network. Assess and improve the quality of network services through trend analysis, problem management, preventive maintenance, and other similar techniques. Assess the quality of services to include the routine assessment of network health, utilization, and performance. Provide trend analysis reports and device/network access reports as requested by the Government. Provide analysis and integration support for all location decisions to move Mission Network Access Kiosk (MNAKs). Provide systems integration services to assist in drafting, submitting, and reviewing engineering change packages, and Government approved changes to incorporate the use of unit acquired MNAKs to facilitate scalability for mission networks. Other support duties as needed/directed. Qualifications Experience/Skills: Must have an in-depth understanding of the technical requirements and the ability, knowledge, experience, certifications, and skills to perform those requirements at task order start date. Must have equal or higher qualifications and experience. Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Education: Must have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) OR Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist or Associate DCWF Code: 441 - Advanced Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance is required. Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check. Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC'S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
