The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system.Position Summary:The Clinical intelligence developer is a high-level staff member responsible for the delivery of reports, dashboards and other analytical solutions of high complexity. The developer utilizes knowledge of database design, data structure and modeling to deliver on system balanced scorecard initiatives, regulatory reporting, and clinical decision support. These solutions are cost-effective, secure, and produce high levels of customer satisfaction. The position allows for the continued development of the employees clinical information system knowledge, skills, and clinical workflow process understanding. The position requires frequent direct interaction with a variety of clinical customers.Position Responsibilities:Key Areas of ResponsibilityWorks collaboratively in a team setting, exhibits attention to detail and process rigor required for the development of complex clinical analytic solutions leveraging a variety of analytic tools (QlikView, Qlik Sense, Epic (RWB, Radar, SlicerDicer, Predictive models). Responsible for the development and delivery of visual analytics and self-service reporting:Planning and development of business and design requirements by assessing customer needs and determines most appropriate data sources, data fields and visualization toolsTranslate requirements into functional specifications necessary for data model development.Understand workflows and critical questions that need to be answered incorporating feedback into the design of analytic solutions.Performs data validation by creating and executing testing plans and runs audit reports to ensure integrity of data.Performs debugging, monitoring and troubleshooting the functionality and content of dashboards and reports.Leads user access testing efforts and develops communication plans. Establishes user access and PHI requirements.Understand quality and regulatory reporting requirements across the acute and non-acute delivery systems for Hartford HealthCare.Document, monitor and refine standard work processes. Operationalize standard work for data stewards as needed for ongoing validation efforts.Additional responsibilities may include supporting analytic needs for new CareConnect (Epic) implementations as needed. Researching legacy BI solutions and aligning to future-state Epic reports. Partnering with CareConnect Application teams to ensure Epic workflows support newly developed Epic reporting solutionsWorking Relationships:This Job Reports To (Job Title):
Clinical Intelligence ManagerQualificationsEducationMinimum: Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Analytics, or related disciplinePreferred: Masters Degree in Analytics, MIS, or related disciplineExperience:Minimum: 3-4 years of relevant experience in a large healthcare system developing operational and/or analytical reports in a complex healthcare environment.Preferred:
