We are looking for an IBM Mainframe DB2 Administrator to work for a leader in the insurance industry. This person is going to be responsible for performing DB2 software maintenance, add and drop tables, add and modify table columns, and tune SQL statements. You will also be monitoring and researching performance issues. For example, research mainframe CPU utilization as it relates to mainframe DB2 processes.
Database Tasks:
* Data base image copies
* Reorgs of databases
* Unload/Load of database
* Recover utility -- backup and restore databases
* Assist with migration of databases from MF DB2 to LUW DB2
* Putting AUDIT ALL on tables and monitoring usage
* Putting tables in utility only mode
* Putting MF DB2 tables in replication with LUW DB2 Databases
Compensation: $38.64/hr to $42.25/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

- Experience with troubleshooting and performance issues
- Experience dropping tables, modifying table columns, tuning sql statements
- Experience supporting IBM DB2 data replication for z/OS
- Experience using BMC tools for DB2 mainframe data management
- Experience on the system side including installs and patch releases
- Experience with DB2 CICS
