We are currently in search of an experienced Senior DevOps Architect to join our team . The ideal candidate will bring expertise in DevOps and Middleware Engineering, with a proven track record in Java/J2EE environments and extensive experience with deployment automation and scripting.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and implementation of enterprise DevOps solutions, focusing on automation, deployment, and middleware integrations.Provide expert guidance on Java/Springboot/EAR/WAR and Enterprise Platform Middleware such as WAS, jBoss, and Weblogic within a Linux operating system environment.Develop and enhance our DevOps scripting and automation capabilities using Ansible Playbooks, Ansible Tower, XLR, BitBucket, and Celestial.Drive the transformation of middleware services ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and seamless integration with Java/Container frameworks.Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to create efficient CI/CD pipelines and streamline deployment processes.Utilize scripting languages like shell, python, jython, or perl to automate tasks and improve system performance.Maintain and optimize network infrastructure elements, understanding the nuances of HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, proxies, and B2B links.Ensure all solutions adhere to security and compliance frameworks, particularly within the banking sector.Provide mentoring and guidance to junior DevOps team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Required Qualifications:Expertise in DevOps or Middleware Engineering roles.Extensive experience with Middleware products such as WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, Spring Boot, and JBoss.Familiarity with Linux Operating Systems and Java/Container Frameworks.Proficient in scripting with shell, python, jython, or perl.Demonstrated experience with deployment tools including Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, and BitBucket.Previous work experience in the banking sector, preferably with Bank of America.Strong understanding of network infrastructure and security principles.Exceptional oral and written communication skills with outstanding attention to detail.Preferred Skills:Certification in DevOps, Middleware, or related fields.Leadership experience in managing complex engineering projects.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Education:Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.We can offer you:A highly competitive compensation and benefits packageA multinational organization with 55 offices in 20 countries and the possibility to work abroad.Laptop and a mobile phone10 days of paid annual leave (plus sick leave and national holidays)Maternity & Paternity leave plansA comprehensive insurance plan including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-/short-term disability (plans vary by region)Retirement savings plansA higher education certification policyCommuter benefits (varies by region)Extensive training opportunities, focused on skills, substantive knowledge, and personal development.On-demand Udemy for Business for all Synechron employees with free access to more than 5000 curated coursesCoaching opportunities with experienced colleagues from our Financial Innovation Labs (FinLabs) and Center of Excellences (CoE) groupsCutting edge projects at the worlds leading tier-one banks, financial institutions and insurance firms.A flat and approachable organizationA truly diverse, fun-loving, and global work cultureSYNECHRONS DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENTDiversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
