(Hybrid - Columbia, SC)
The
Senior Database Administrator
(DBA) is a professional responsible for managing, securing, and handling the data, databases, and pipelines for AgFirst Farm Credit Bank. As a member of the Database Development Services team, they are responsible for the operations of on-premises and cloud databases. A Senior DBA provides consulting and mentoring to less senior staff members on database-related topics.
What you'll doSupport AgFirst live operational databases
across all environments. (Production/Non-Production)Identify and act
on opportunities to improve performance, automate processes, and add value to databases and data pipelinesUse database management system
software and tools for Microsoft SQL, Oracle, and AzureUnderstands data
and information in all its formsWorking knowledge
of data pipeline development to build and maintain optimal data architecturesUnderstand conceptual , logical, and physical data modelsTime reporting
and monthly status reports turned in on timeWhat you'll need
B.S. in computer science, engineering to technical field, or extensive work experience as a DBA5 to 10 years of experience as a DBAExpert knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle installation and configurationExcellent knowledge of relational database logical concepts and physical implementation conceptsExcellent grasp of programming and software development conceptsCompetency in some scripting language, preferably PythonExcellent skills in presenting and writing on technical topics
